Well, I've never tracked an album with IEMs before. I was always using cans since I did not have an amp or any sub. I ditched my closed headphones for tracking and use these now. To me that's what they are, big cans in an IEM.
...these do behave like a single driver but there’s still a character to them that’s unique and I was thinking it must be the materials of the driver itself, but now it seems it’s related more to how it was tuned and engineered within the shell. Really cool shit man!! For reals.
